Circuit Training Nutritional Tip

Fiber for Fitness
According to the New England Journal of Medicine, one easy way to fight the risk of colorectal cancer and heart disease is to consume more fiber.
Adding more fiber to your diet may also help you stay trim.
According to the Journal, fiber tends to interfere with the body's absorption of fat in the intestine. The fat sticks to the fiber and gets excreted as waste. Researchers say that a person eating a high-fat low-fiber diet absorbs almost 100 percent of all fat consumed. With a high-fat, high-fiber diet, however, fat absorption is significantly reduced. Good sources of fiber include: oatmeal, bran cereal, beans, whole grains and potatoes.
