Fastest Way to Reduce the Midsection
What is the best for reducing your midsection: diet or exercise?
Recently, a study done at Queens University in Ontario, Canada attempted to determine the effect exercise has on abdominal fat. The test subjects were split into two groups of seven.
Group one was put through an intensive exercise program while group two was limited to strict dieting.
After seven weeks the subjects were weighed and their fat content measured. Suprisingly, group 2 that dieted showed very little reduction in abdominal fat but did show a reduction in lean tissue mass.
Meanwhile group one, the group that exercised, did improve overall fat loss as well as increasing muscle tissue and cardiovascular endurance.
